Tyler joined the Calgary corporate branch of Raymond James Ltd. in January 2020 after working at a bank-owned investment dealer since 2011. Before that, he was a partner in a Calgary-based communications firm. Tyler's focus is on delivering and managing an attractive investment solution with low correlation to other asset classes, active equity discretionary management with core dividend-paying stocks, and smart fixed income selections. Tyler firmly believes that clients' interests are best served by taking a fully diversified portfolio approach to investing and employing the principles of dollar-cost-averaging to take advantage of market volatility and enhance returns. He works closely with clients in explaining investment strategies designed to generate income and/or improve portfolio returns, while keeping risk at acceptable levels.
The Chartered Investment Manager® (CIM®) Designation builds the skills and experience we need to serve a more sophisticated financial client or institution. Financial professionals who hold the CIM® designation are eligible for registration as a Portfolio Manager in Canada. They have expertise in providing money management services to high-net-worth and institutional clients, and they understand the application of portfolio management in the context of Canadian markets and regulatory requirements
